Before you go on "Hey this is a single.The only new song is The Evil One".Well,no!All the tracks are newly recorded in '96 and let me tell you,THEY KICK SOME SERIOUS ASS!!!Venom prove that they are capable not only of making a new album,but one that will go straight into No 1 and stay as did their other albums(which are now metal classics). Forget all the bullshit about stupid bands that claim to play "true original authentic dark black fuckin'metal"All these people simply don't know what black metal is!Venom created black metal and they remain at the top.Actually they have every right to tell what black metal is cause without them it wouldn't actually exist! I'm sure that you say "Well OK Venom are kings,tell us about the new song!"The Evil One is an original Venom song.It is very good actually but this version only lasts 2 minutes.Of course it's longer on <a href="castinstone.html">Cast In Stone</a>.The other songs radiate a one of a kind freshness.Don't ask me to tell you which version is the best,the new or the old one...I simply can't tell.The older versions are classic,and the new ones have better production.I can't think of anything else except for the fact that the guitars don't sound so "brutal".But don't misunderstand this!It is still Venom!! Also most of the tracks are faster.I think Cronos sang very well,cause despite the faster speed and the new sound he still sounds the way he should!Actually he can sing any way he likes and say"This is black metal" cause as i said it before,Venom created black metal and they have every right to say what is black metal and what's not!It still remains an original Venom song,which means it radiates darkness,evilness and hatred. If you asked me i would definately say "BUY IT".Even if i didn't like Venom that much,i would say so cause the new versions sound very good and "fresh".In some songs Cronos' voice sounds much more wild than the older versions!I've heard several other bands play Venom but noone could do it better than the original band!I can say that these versions are way better than these from other bands i've heard,and this is natural,who can play a song best?The one that composed it or someone else?(Well in the case of black metal kings Venom,noone could sound better than them!) This release also warns the other bands that Venom are back and will record a full album.If this happens i think all the "dark","black",and "true" ones should be seriously concerned about the music they play.Beware,this is ORIGINAL BLACK METAL AND NOT THE BULLSHIT SOME IDIOTS PLAY!!!I suggest you hide you idiots cause Venom are gonna kick your ass!!Up until now you should respect Venom as the fathers of black metal and one of the most important and influential metal bands in the history.Now you should respect them cause they are the black metal kings and they are here to stay on top!!In other words VENOM ARE BACK!!!!
